Local high school seniors awarded for their achievements

This month, 21 highschool seniors from all three Coachella Valley school districts are being honored by the Riverside County Office of Education for their personal and academic achievements.

The Greater Coachella Valley Student of the Month Program highlights students who continue to strive for success, “...in the face of life’s challenges while maintaining a commitment to education.”

“Students are selected not necessarily on GPA, but what they've been through. They're recommended by their teachers, their school site administrators…we really want to select students that are promising, that are overcoming adversities and doing great things in their lives,” said Edwin Gomez, Riverside County Superintendent of Schools.

The Riverside County Office of Education will host one more ceremony for the 2023-2024 school year in March.

Learn more about the monthly awards and the students who earned them this month tonight at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
