Fire destroys mobile home in Cathedral City

A mobile home was destroyed by a fire Tuesday morning in Cathedral City.

The fire happened at around 11:30 a.m. at the Tramview Mobile Home Park at 67920 E Palm Canyon Drive.

The fire spread to one mobile home park and some nearby trees.

The Cathedral City Fire Department, with assistance from the Palm Springs Fire Department and CAL FIRE, was able to keep the blaze contained to one building.

There were no injuries, fire crews confirmed at the scene.

Perez Road and East Palm Canyon were shut down as crews worked to put out the fire.
