Timerwolves beat Lakers in preseason opener at Acrisure Arena

The Los Angeles Lakers are back in the desert for a second consecutive year to play a pair of preseason games at Acrisure Arena.

On Friday, The Lakers took on the Minnesota Timberwolves, but without their two big stars, Lebron James and Anthony Davis.

It was a big night for debuts nonetheless. Friday's game marked the first game for new Lakers coach JJ Reddick. Bronny James, Lebron's son, got his first on-court minutes in the NBA on Friday.

He looked a bit like his dad with a chase down block that brought a roar to the crowd.

It wasn't the start the Lakers were looking for, however, as the Timberwolves won the game 124-107, with the fans seeing numerous big dunks from the Minnesota squad.

The Lakers return to Acrisure Arena Sunday to take on Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

According to reports, both Lebron and Davis are expected to play Sunday.
