Palm Springs is officially welcoming a new wave of luxury and philanthropy.

Fast Lane Drive (FLD), an international exotic car club, is announcing the creation of its newest chapter in Palm Springs.

News Channel 3's Garrett Hottle, spoke with Fast Lane Drive CEO Clement Connor about the new Palm Springs chapter, and about his hopes to accelerate FLD's impact right here at home.

For their newest chapter right here in the desert, Connors says FLD says it’s not just about flashy cars and fast engines—this elite club is also driven by community impact.

FLD, known for uniting high-performance vehicle enthusiasts with a passion for philanthropy, has a track record of supporting notable causes. Past events have benefited organizations including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, San Diego Coastkeepers and, most recently, helped raise $40,000 for victims of the LA wildfires.

It's a diverse crowd when it comes to to the more than 2,000 members with FLD, according to Connor. He says, they range in age from 22 to over 70, with women comprising about one-quarter of the membership.

So far, Connor says the Palm Springs chapter already has 12 members.

To join FLD, prospective members must submit an online application and then participate in a process that involves an interview and trial drive. You can find more information, by visiting this link.

The organization will kick off its local presence with a club drive scheduled for 1 p.m. on Tuesday Feb. 25, followed by a soft opening on happening on April 12.
