Three people in critical condition after Friday morning crash in Rancho Mirage

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. (KESQ) - A two car collision in Rancho Mirage Friday morning caused some traffic issues and sent three people to the hospital.

Just before 10 a.m., police responded to an accident involving two vehicles at the corner of Ramon Road and Los Alamos Road.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, officers arrived on scene and located three patients in critical condition. All were transported to local hospitals. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Eastbound traffic on Ramon Road was shut down and caused traffic to be diverted and drivers warned to stay out of the area.
