Valley couple stranded in Barbados due to flight restrictions

 A Rancho Mirage couple is stranded in the Caribbean after U.S. military action in Venezuela led to grounded flights across the region.

Robert Downing and Tracy Boomer's paradise vacation took an unexpected turn when they saw American fighter jets flying overhead, later to learn that they would not be able to get home as planned.

The couple is still stranded tonight. Newschannel 3's Peter Daut spoke with the couple in a special exclusive report.
