Firebirds in Super Bowl territory for road game against San Jose, fall 2-1 to Barracuda
COACHELLA VALLEY, Calif. (KESQ) -- The Coachella Valley is usually dubbed as "Firebirds Territory," but the team is currently in Super Bowl territory.
Coachella Valley continued their road trip Wednesday with a game against the Barracuda in San Jose, not far from the site of the Super Bowl, set for Sunday, Feb. 8 in Santa Clara.
Sports Director Blake Arthur caught up with Firebirds play-by-play broadcaster Evan Pivnick on what it's like being in the Bay Area during Super Bowl week.

As for the game, the Firebirds lost 2-1 to the Barracuda at Tech CU Arena.
Coachella Valley has now dropped four of their last five games. Through 43 games on the season, the Firebirds have a 23-15-5-0 overall record.

The Firebirds finish their road trip later this week with two games in Henderson against the Silver Knights.
Their next home game is Friday, Feb. 13 against the Tucson Roadrunners.
