Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade brings community together on El Paseo

PALM DESERT, Calif. (KESQ) — Decorated golf carts, community groups and families gathered along El Paseo Sunday for the 2026 Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade, with actor and television host Anthony Anderson serving as grand marshal.

This year’s theme, “Better Together,” celebrated the people, businesses and organizations that make up Palm Desert and the greater Coachella Valley.

Anderson, known for his role as Andre “Dre” Johnson on ABC’s “black-ish,” has an existing connection to the area through his annual Anthony Anderson Celebrity Golf Classic at BIGHORN Golf Club, which raises money for charitable causes.

News Channel 3 also participated in Sunday’s parade.

The celebration’s schedule included a morning pancake breakfast, live music, food trucks, a marketplace and activities for children before the parade’s noon start.

Parade entries included creatively decorated golf carts and floats, classic cars, local businesses, community organizations and performance groups.

Organizers also arranged dedicated seating areas for seniors, veterans and active-duty military members.

The Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce organizes the event, with the City of Palm Desert serving as its title sponsor.
