(AP) — In a story published December 30, 2021, about hardship assistance payments to members of the Navajo Nation, The Associated Press erroneously reported that tribal President Jonathan Nez signed legislation on Thursday, Dec. 30 to send $2,000 checks to adults and $600 to children. Nez had not received the legislation yet.
