Four critically injured after car crashes into a Palm Desert rug store

PALM DESERT, Calif. (KESQ) -- Deputies were dispatched to the 73000 block of Highway 111 at Monterey Avenue at 1:48 a.m. on Friday night. Upon arrival, deputies located a single-car crash into El Paseo Design Center.

All four passengers of the vehicle were transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Officials say no arrests were made, and the cause of the collision remains under investigation.

Highway 74 and El Paseo were closed during the investigation, but have since been reopened.
