Wet conditions across the valley Wednesday, drive cautiously
As you head out or drive around the valley remember to be mindful of wet road conditions. Along with the rain, residents could see some road closures or possible flooded areas.
Keep in mind the roads could be slick -- drive slower wherever you're going. If you come across any flooded pockets be sure to "turn around down drown." Authorities say it's not worth the risk of your car hydroplaning and it only takes a few inches of water for that to happen.
Some people bracing themselves for the weather say they welcome the rain: “It just refreshes you it’s a wonderful thing,” said Susan Fauchier, Cathedral City resident. Others say it's a huge headache: “It’s a nightmare roads close down everything goes down to one lane everywhere. Everyone is driving the middle of the street because everything else is flooded it can be chaotic,” said Adam Carpio, Cathedral City resident.
At the time of this publication, Gene Autry, Vista Chino and Indian Canyon are open, but stay with News Channel 3 for updates on all road closures and conditions throughout the day.
