Eisenhower Health announces new $5 million Memory Care Center project

Eisenhower Health is planning to build a new $5 million Memory Care Center in Rancho Mirage.

The expanded center will include a larger support group room, a state-of-the-art-kitchen, separate, larger designated areas for activities and dining, and an atrium garden, according to Lee Rice, Media Coordinator and Public Relations Specialist for Eisenhower Health.

The health center has offered its Memory Care Center services for 36 years.

"All too frequently illnesses such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, or stroke, glaucoma, and other cognitive impairments, can leave an individual and their family cut-off from opportunities for social engagement, physical activities, and mental stimulation," reads Eisenhower Health's description of the facility. "The Eisenhower Memory Care Center offers solutions to families and caregivers who are struggling to manage everyday lives and successful care of their loved one."

The new facility will be built at the location currently occupied by Collectors Corner, a thrift store that benefits Eisenhower. Collectors Corner is located on the 71200 block of Highway 111 in Rancho Mirage.

Eisenhower Health is actively seeking donors and will be holding a benefit on Sunday to raise funds. Read more at on the flyer below:
