An Air Force plane has touched down at Palm Springs International Airport ahead of President Donald Trump's arrival on Wednesday.

The plane, which appears to be a C-17 Globemaster III, came into the airport on Monday morning. This model of plane arrived in advance of President Barack Obama's time in the Coachella Valley while serving as president in 2015.

The C-17 Globemaster III historically carries the presidential limousine, according to the Department of Defense.

The tail of the plane places its origin at McGuire Air Force Base in Burlington County, New Jersey.
