High school hoops highlights and scores – Monday 12/30

A busy night of high school basketball was highlighted by Shadow Hills winning their division of the Classic at Damien tournament. The Knights defeated West Torrance for the Bronze division championship 66-57. SHHS improves to 13-1 on the season.

Meanwhile, Palm Springs fell in their respective tournament title game. The Indians lost for the first time all year, falling to Great Oak of Temecula 56-38 in their division of the Rancho Mirage Holiday Invitational.

Also worth mentioning, La Quinta moved to 10-3 on the season behind Kymani Nix who had a highlight heave from over half court. The Blackhawks beat Cathedral City in all-local matchup in the RMHI.

And the Saints keep marching. Xavier Prep is now 14-1 after their win against Notre Dame.

The DEL season starts Tuesday, January 7 with all six teams showing strong signs and entering with winning records.
