Landry wins in La Quinta: Sports Director Blake Arthur catches up with 2020 American Express champion one-on-one
Andrew Landry is the new tournament champion but it wasn't without some final round fireworks.
Landry had a comfortable lead on Sunday but let it slip away with three straight bogeys on 13, 14 and 15. That allowed Abraham Ancer to tie him at 24-under par.
But Landry locked in after that.
The 32-year-old made par on 16 and then converted back-to-back birdies on 17 and 18 to win the tournament by two shots. Those two holes proved to be the difference as Landry finished at 26-under par to secure his second victory on the PGA Tour.
Sports Director Blake Arthur spoke with the champion one-on-one following his victory in our valley.
