Local public and private golf courses re-open under strict safety guidelines

Riverside County approved for golf courses to re-open on Monday, April 20.

And now, local courses are taking action by opening back up for business.

Both public and private golf courses around the valley are gearing up this week to allow for play after being closed due to coronavirus and orders from the County.

Originally, local golf courses were shut down on April 2 and to be closed until June 19, per Supervisor Manuel Perez of Riverside County.

But an amended order from Perez allowed for golf courses to re-open with certain restrictions.

There are specific rules and regulations that all golf courses must follow or the County will rescind the order. These safety measures are in place to assure everyone's safety amid a global pandemic.
