Firebirds fall to Eagles 3-1 on third annual Dia de Los Muertos Night

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif (KESQ) - The Coachella Valley Firebirds lost to the Colorado Eagles 3-1 on Saturday at Acrisure Arena.

The Eagles scored three unanswered goals. Danil Guschin opened the scoring to take the 1-0 lead in the first. In the third period, Tristen Nielsen and Alex Barre-Boulet tallied Colorado's final two goals to hold a 3-0 lead.

In the final stretch of the third, Mitchell Stephens scored the lone goal for the Firebirds to seal a 3-1 final.

Victor Ostman started in the net for CV and saved 33 shots on goal.

The Firebirds fall to a 3-4-1-0 record. Coachella Valley will remain at home and play the Colorado Eagles on Wednesday, November 5th. Puck drop is at 6:30 PM.
