La Quinta High School softball stays undefeated in DEL with 10-0 win over Palm Desert

PALM DESERT, Calif. (KESQ) – The La Quinta Blackhawks are looking for a Desert Empire League title this year, and they're on track to be able to reach it. The Blackhawks haven't finished first in the DEL since the 2022-23 season.

The Blackhawks mercy ruled the Palm Desert Aztecs in the fifth inning with a 10-0 win on Thursday. According to their schedule on the CIF website, this is the 11th time La Quinta has shutout a team this season.

The win against Palm Desert keeps La Quinta undefeated in league play at 9-0. With just 10 games left, the Blackhawks are looking like an incredibly strong team. From pitching to great hits, La Quinta easily completed the Thursday night shutout, even putting up six runs in just the third inning.
