A drier and warmer forecast joins this weekend

Partly cloudy skies and cool temperatures were the focus of this Friday's forecast. Light showers will continue to linger over the higher elevations surrounding the Coachella Valley into the evening.

A Wind Advisory will take effect early Saturday morning for Western Riverside County as well as the Inland Empire. The strongest gusts will occur below the Cajon Pass. Use caution if driving in that direction.

The trough of low pressure will depart east on Saturday but continue to provide below-normal temperatures for several days to come.

There is a slow warming trend in the forecast beginning this weekend. High temperatures will reach the low 70s by the middle of next week. Go ahead and make those Valentine's Day plans outdoors.
