Highs set to run just above average this week

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) – Warmer temperatures have arrived! Highs are set to steadily climb before peaking just above average for the week ahead.

We've been closely watching moisture over the past week or so. It's been noticeably humid lately – it led to some monsoonal showers around the valley yesterday – but we're steadily drying out as our pattern warms up. Tomorrow, expect to see dew point temperatures predominantly in the 50s, but some upper 40s could join the party by the afternoon.

We're starting to warm up pretty early again. You can expect triple digits around lunchtime before we near 110°F for the hottest portion of the day.

Our average temperature for tomorrow sits at 108°F. We'll be just a touch hotter than that: between 110°F and 112°F for most spots.

From here, highs look pretty stable for the week. We'll be in the ballpark of 109°F to 111°F. Some temperature fluctuations could come with more moisture entering the picture for Thursday and beyond. We might see a return of some monsoonal activity as that happens. We'll keep you posted!
