Right below average today, beginning of warming trend

THOUSAND PALMS Calif. (KESQ) — It's not by much, but today is looking to be another day of below-average temperatures, with a high of 107 degrees.

Moisture continues to impact conditions in the valley. However, while today should see dew points reach the 60s, slight drying should occur through the week. It won't be much, though, and it looks like we are in store for another hot and muggy week ahead.

The valley remains at a dangerous level for potential heat stress. If you are planning on doing anything outdoors, try to do it early and take necessary precautions in the heat.

Today marks the beginning of a warming trend. Come Tuesday, temperatures will be back above average in the low 110s.
