Heat intensifies through midweek

Highs will climb today, heading into the lower one-teens through the week and into the weekend. We remain under an Extreme Heat Warning until Friday evening, and that warning has expanded.

Highs today will hit 113 and be even hotter tomorrow.

Humidity was heavy yesterday, but began to dry out a bit late last night. Today I expect dew points to be a bit more reasonable so it will not feel quite as oppressive.

The monsoonal flow still threatens to bring some more humidity, but for the next few days it will remain in check.

By Sunday, the high pressure ridge creating the heat down will begin to break down, and we'll start to see some below average temps come into play!
