Last-minute voters prepare to cast ballots ahead of Election Day

COACHELLA VALLEY, Calif. (KESQ) - At ballot drop-off locations throughout the valley, residents told News Channel 3 they're focused on a wide range of issues, including the economy, immigration, healthcare, and the future direction of the country.

For many voters, casting a ballot is also about making sure their voices are heard. One Palm Springs voter said voting is a way to honor the sacrifices made by previous generations who fought for the right to participate in the democratic process.

Election officials say turnout has remained steady in the final days before Election Day, with voters continuing to return ballots in person to ensure they are counted.

News Channel 3 spoke with voters throughout the day about the issues motivating them and why they believe this election is important.
