Horse in traffic killed in Desert Hot Springs

A horse was killed after being struck by several vehicles in Desert Hot Springs Monday night.

First responders were called out to the scene just after 8:30 near the intersection of Palm Drive and 20th avenue.

According to officers on scene, a person was riding the horse when they were knocked off, the horse continued on before being struck by multiple vehicles.
