Three men have been arrested in connection to the burglary of a gun store in Palm Desert at the end of July.

On July 31, Deputies responded to a ringing alarm at Second Amendment Sports on the 38-600 block of El Viento Road in Palm Desert at little past 12:00 am. Deputies arrived at the store and found that it had been burglarized and that the suspects had already left the area. During the investigation, they discovered that several firearms had been stolen.

Investigators from the Palm Desert Station Burglary Suppression Unit assumed the investigation.

During the investigation, 38-year-old, Jesse Alan Weaver, of Highgrove, was identified as a suspect in the burglary. On August 4, at about 11:30 a.m., Weaver was arrested on the 400 block of Michigan Avenue in the city of Highgrove. Weaver has been released due to a pre-existing medical condition. Charges have been filed with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office

33-year-old, Vincent Martin De La Rosa, of Colton, was identified as the second suspect. De La Rosa was arrested on the 300 block of N. 9th Street in the city of Colton and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside for burglary and ex-felon in possession of a firearm. Jail records show De La Rosa posted $30,000 bail.

The third suspect was identified as 30-year-old Jess Manuel Gonzales, of Colton. Gonzales was arrested on the 1300 block of Norman Street in the city of Colton and was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for burglary.
