A hiker on the bump and grind trail in Palm Desert suffered minor injuries after being rescued off a steep slope Saturday morning,
Cal Fire Riverside County firefighters responded to reports of an ill hiker on the popular trail just after 10:30 a.m. The hiker was rescued by rope after firefighters located the victim 200 feet off the trail on a steep slope.
The hiker was then taken to an area hospital by an ambulance.
