Crews respond to Mountain Center wildfire

Three people are in stable condition at a hospital after a car fire that sparked a wildfire in Mountain Center Saturday morning.

CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire crews responded just before Noon to reports of a vehicle fire on Highway 74 south of Highway 243.

As of around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, the fire was at four acres.

Firefighters said the fire involved one vehicle and trailer, and the wildfire was burning at a moderate rate.

The U.S. Forest Service is helping CAL FIRE/Riverside County crews.
