The Palm Springs youth football program were holding their weekly Saturday games last October when news broke of the police shooting that would kill Jose “Gil” Vega and Lesley Zerebny. Fundraising efforts over the past year led by their youth cheerleading team teaming up with Maracas, The Slice, and JT’s Diner raised $3,000 to give to the Palm Springs fallen officers.
