Lockdown lifted at Desert Regional Medical Center

Desert Regional Medical Center was placed on lockdown Sunday morning for approximately two hours.

The hospital’s spokesperson, Richard Ramhoff, says there was a threat to a patient. In response the hospital restricted visitation from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The hospital was still accepting patients. The Palm Springs Police Department were on scene. It is not yet known if anyone was injured.

The hospital is back to normal operation.
