Deputies search for suspect after possible shooting in La Quinta

We are learning more about a possible overnight shooting in La Quinta.

Riverside County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 79000 block of Fred Waring Drive near Adams street after several shots were heard Saturday night at approximately 11:50 p.m.

While responding, Indio Police told deputies they were with a gunshot victim nearby. That victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.

Deputies said they received numerous calls of a man banging on residential doors and hiding in bushes in the area. Deputies could not locate this man and no arrests were reported.

A police helicopter was also seen circling the Fred Waring Drive area from above, between Adams Street and Jefferson Street.
