Alex Esquibel steps down as Shadow Hills head football coach

After three seasons, Alex Esquibel is out as head coach at Shadow Hills high school.

DSUSD confirmed this to KESQ on Wednesday, saying it was a mutual decision between the school and coach.

Esquibel took over the program in 2020 during COVID, replacing Ron Shipley.

Esquibel finished with a 13-13 record during his tenure with the Knights.
