Here’s what to expect from the American Express 2020 tournament

Professional golf returns to the Coachella Valley this week for "The American Express" tournament.

Event organizers said the attendance for the tournament continues to grow and that there is so much more fans can take away from it this year.

"Super excited we have worked all year … on this event to get ready for Monday of tournament," said Jeff Sanders, Executive Director of "The American Express" golf tournament.

Sanders gave News Channel 3 an exclusive tour of a fan experience, which is a part of the tournament.

"The Albertson's Vons Pavillion [venue] -- they have the best seat of the house," said Sanders.

Sanders said fans can go into the Albertson's Vons Pavilions Club 18 with the purchase of a ticket, with no cover charge or wristbands needed.

Tickets bought online through an American Express card will receive a 20 percent discount.

Tickets can also be purchased at the gate.

Concerts will continue this year on Friday and Saturday nights.

This year's headliners are Stevie Nicks and country music star Luke Bryan. For $50, fans can enjoy golf during the day and the concert at night.

"If I was going to stay for the concerts, I'd go from the eighteenth green, then to the Corona area and then down the hill to watch the concerts," said Sanders.

And one last thing to see at the tournament is the Michelob Ultra Beers Fore Birdies venue, located on the 17th tee and 16th green.

"Of course, this is the most fun whole of all because whenever there is a birdie made on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday, beers are half-price all day," said Sanders.
