Fantasy Springs Resort Casino hosts cat and dog clinics
The two- day event is hosted by the Coachella Animal Network (CAN) at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino’s special events center. The clinic is open on Monday, September 16 and Tuesday, September 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
News Channel 3 spoke with Melody Farnik, Director of Animal Action League, about how important it is to have your animal spayed or neutered. She says, “Spay and neuter is going to prevent them [animals] from roaming…it’s going to prevent them [animals] from having stress… it’s going to prevent them [animals] from down the line having medical conditions.”
The event is a low cost clinic that provides services for pets which include dog and cat sterilization by appointment only ($25 donation), rabies ($11), microchip ($15) and license clinics. Senior residents are eligible for a $1 Rabies Vaccination Special.
Attendees are required to bring cash, valid identification, citations, rabies vaccine, pet sterilization and microchip information. There are additional services that include Vaccine and Microchip Clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
