Low pressure to bring showers to Riverside County through Saturday

Drier air exists over Southern California compared to the extra moisture to the north and south of us, but dew point temperatures are in the 50s across the low desert.

As the area of low pressure moves closer to the coast, more rain will be drawn across the state from the south. Some showers are expected to move into Riverside County between 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. Friday.

Saturday will be a more active day for the Southland, with showers and isolated thunderstorms expected in the Inland Empire. Minimal impact on the desert is anticipated; however, should the thunderstorms become more scattered, our chance for rainfall accumulation will increase.

With the passing of the trough, winds will shift offshore, creating breezy to gusty conditions around the desert. These Santa Ana winds will drop relative humidity values into the teens Monday through the middle of next week.
