Small wildfire burns in hills near Indio
A remote brush fire was burning in the hills near Indio on Monday, according to CAL FIRE.
Firefighters got a call around 11:20 a.m. of a fire burning in the desert hills north of the intersection of Washington Street and Coyote Song Way near Indio.
Cal Fire said the fire was burning in an area called the "Oasis."
It was estimated at between 3 and 5 acres of brush burned.
They were also trying to determine who had jurisdiction over firefighting efforts.
No injuries or damage was reported from the fire.
