The victims of Alex Murdaugh’s financial fraud angrily confront him in court before his sentencing

Several of the 18 victims of Alex Murdaugh’s financial fraud are letting the disgraced South Carolina lawyer know just how much he harmed them. Among those testifying at a sentencing hearing Tuesday was Murdaugh’s childhood friend Jordan Jinks, who said he was heartbroken not just by the thousands of dollars that Murdaugh stole from him, but what he took from others. State prosecutors and Murdaugh’s lawyers have agreed to a 27-year prison sentence. He is already serving a life sentence without parole for the slayings of his wife and younger son, a crime he denies committing. He is appealing that conviction by a jury.
