Imperial Irrigation District backs millions in federal funding benefitting Colorado River System

The Biden Administration says it has reached a landmark water conservation deal with the Imperial Irrigation District.

The deal includes more than $70 million of federal funds.

The plan hopes to raise Lake Mead's elevation behind Hoover Dam by one and a half feet.

IID says the agreement will benefit the Colorado River, Lake Mead, and the Salton Sea.
