Spotlight 29 Casino celebrates 29th Anniversary with $29,000 giveaway
The Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians is ringing in its 29th anniversary of Spotlight 29 Casino Sunday morning. The Casino is celebrating with free swag, anniversary cupcakes, and a huge giveaway of $29,000.
Jose Garcia, the Vice President of Marketing for the tribe, says a lot incredible improvements have happened since the Casino was first built. But he also says there is so much more to look forward to in the future.
"On behalf of the tribe and Chairman Mike, they've loved being a part of this community," said Garcia. "Chairman Mike and the tribe are always giving so much away. We have our Easter event. We have our Fourth of July event, just really always incorporating the community."
Garcia attributes a love for the community as one of the tribe's driving factors.
"We're more than a business, we're a big family here here at Spotlight 29. So we really like doing community events," said Garcia. He also hinted that the first 29-years are only just the beginning.
"That's why we're celebrating. The first 29 years we did great, but the next 29-years are going to be amazing," Garcia reflected. "We have some big announcements coming up this year. So stay tuned for that. But just watch, Spotlight 29 is going to be the place to be here in the Coachella Valley. We are Coachella's best bet."
The big celebration begins at 10:00 a.m. on the casino floor, with a commemorative 29th anniversary t-shirt handout to all Club 29 members. It'll continue throughout the day with cupcakes and drawings for prizes up to $1,000 in free slot play at 5 o'clock.
The night will end with the $29,000 cash giveaway to one lucky player.
"We are proud to come together and celebrate the 29th anniversary of Spotlight 29 Casino," said Chairman Darrell Mike. "Our priority has always been to make your entertainment experience the best it can be with the best casino games, food, drinks and live shows the Coachella Valley has to offer. In this 29th year of gaming, we are excited to soon announce our expansion plans which includes a Destination Hotel & Resort, Travel Centers in both the High and Low Desert communities. It is my Tribes goal to provide our local community with a safe and enjoyable experience at anyone of our Tribally run enterprises."
