DENVER (AP) — A judge has raised the bond for a student arrested in the deaths of two people shot in a dorm room at a Colorado college to $5 million after a prosecutor said there were indications he tried to flee and that had a gun when he was arrested. The bond for 25-year-old Nicholas Jordan had been set at $1 million after he was arrested Monday in the deaths of his roommate, 24-year-old, Samuel Knopp, and Celie Rain Montgomery, at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs last week. Judge Shannon Gerhart sided with prosecutors and agreed to raise the amount during Jordan’s first court appearance. Jordan’s lawyer said he would address the amount at his next court hearing on Friday.
