Israel finds the body of a teen whose disappearance sparked a deadly settler attack in the West Bank

Al-MUGHAYYIR, West Bank (AP) — Israel’s army says the body of a missing Israeli teen has been found in the West Bank after he was killed in what it called a “terrorist attack.” Violence has escalated across the Israeli-occupied territory where tensions have simmered for months. The disappearance of the 14-year-old sparked has attacks by Israeli settlers on Palestinian villages. Tensions in the West Bank have been especially high since the Israel-Hamas war began in nearby Gaza in October. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the teen’s killing. The Israeli defense minister urged people not to take the law into their own hands.
