Slight Cooling & Chance of Rain before Sunnier Desert Weekend

Some minor changes brewing for the Coachella Valley as low pressure off the California coast is set to bring some slightly cooler temperatures through Thursday.

Clouds increase Wednesday, with our best chance for showers arriving Wednesday night into Thursday, along with a slight chance of thunderstorms.

Valley rainfall totals look relatively light, generally a quarter-inch or less at the most, with higher rainfall totals possible in our mountains and west of the valley. Showers taper off late Thursday into Friday as that system moves east, before we head into a drier, sunnier weekend.

Highs rebound into the lower to mid-80s this weekend, with gusty northeast to east winds possible with an offshore flow near our mountain passes Saturday.
