Single-family mobile home fire in Sky Valley

At 4:21 today, Cal Fire received a report of a residential structure fire in the 7500 block of 22nd Ave. in the unincorporated community of Sky Valley.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they located a single wide mobile home involved with fire with exposure to the primary residence right next to the mobile home.

Powerlines, an additional residence and nearby vegetation was also in danger of catching on fire.

According to Cal Fire Battalion Chief Matthew Kotz, firefighters deployed the hose lines quickly, protected the exposures, and waited for other resources to arrive on scene.

Once additional resources arrived, the fire was quickly contained within 15 minutes.

There were no injuries, but one person is now displaced and the Red Cross was called.
