Rain on the Way, Starting with a Cooling Trend Tomorrow
From the eighties today, and lots of sunshine, to a cooler weekend, and stormy start to next week! Today will reflect earlier conditions, reaching mid-eighties for highs:

A developing series of storms moves in tonight, first wave bringing partly cloudy skies and cooler weather (seventies) for the weekend.

The low pressure center will intensify over the weekend, with rain developing for the desert by Monday afternoon or evening, and lasting potentially through Wednesday midday. Rainfall totals are anticipated to reach anywhere from 0.50" to 1.20" here in the Valley, with heavier totals (3" to 5") in the mountains and 1" to 2" in coastal areas. Snow is unlikely below 7,000' as this is a warmer storm system.

So the next 7 Day Forecast is an adventure in SoCal changes, including setting your clock foreword to begin Daylight Saving Time Sunday morning at 2 a.m.
