Starting November on a warm note!

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) – It's a warm start to November! It's already warmer than yesterday, as there has been less clouds overhead today. October was notably warm, with 18 days above average. As we work our way the beginning stages of the new month, it's still looking warm!

A note for tonight: be sure to set those clocks back! Daylight saving time ends... we'll gain an hour of sleep. With that, we'll be getting darker earlier: sunset will be before 5:00 p.m. by tomorrow!

It's staying hot for this time of year tomorrow. Expect highs in the low to mid 90s across the desert.

Our FutureTrack models still show in week's time, highs will remain warmer than normal. It hasn't felt like fall since the middle of October!

A very subtle cooling trend will start on Monday as the high pressure that has been dominating the Southwest will begin to weaken. Low pressure well to our north will very slightly cool temperatures into the upper 80s as we progress through the week. Come next weekend, though, high pressure is expected to gain strength once again, bringing our temperatures back on up.
