Staying above average again this week

It's a warm start to the week here in the Coachella Valley with highs in the low 90s. Even though this is cooler than much of last week, we are still solidly above the seasonal average for this time of year. Now that we have transitioned back into standard time, the sun is setting much earlier. This means it starts cooling off earlier in the evening. It will still be slow to cool overnight thanks to the warm afternoon temperatures.

Overall, the weather pattern is fairly stable across the deserts this week. An area of low pressure will move into the Pacific Northwest by the middle of this week. This will bring our temperatures to the upper 80s for midweek. Slight warming resumes Friday and for the weekend. This cooling will be accompanied by a brief, light boost to our local winds on Wednesday.

Overall, there is little to no change in our weather this week. We will continue to stay above the seasonal average for the next week. Expect mostly sunny skies and dry air.
