Lingering showers possible through the evening, with dryer and warmer conditions developing into weekend
PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (KESQ) A First Alert Weather Alert remains in effect until 7pm this evening as we continue to track wrap around showers moving through potions of the valley this afternoon.
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for our mountain communities above 6500 ft through 4pm this afternoon, and a Flood Watch is in effect for the Hi-Desert through this evening.
Rainfall totals will trend lower in the Valley compared to the Hi-Desert as we head into the later portions of the evening. The heaviest rain should stick to the east valley and the Hi-Desert. Low level street flooding is possible and drivers tonight should provide themselves plenty of extra time to get where they’re going.
Temperatures today are well below average with most of our highs landing in the mid 60s. Expect a warmup going into the weekend, with highs moving into mid 70s by Sunday.
We’ll continue that trend going into the week ahead with dry conditions and temps near 80 by Thanksgiving Day.
There is some potential for a moderate Santa Anna Wind even by mid-week, stick with your News Channel 3 First Alert Weather team for the latest on your forecast.
