SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KESQ) - Two people who apparently fell from the U.S.-Mexico border wall in Otay Mesa were transported, conscious and breathing, to local hospitals today.

San Diego Fire-Rescue personnel were dispatched to the 30-foot-tall wall at 12:12 p.m. Friday to the area between Drucker Lane and La Media Road, SDFRD Spokeswoman Candace Hadley said, adding that a third person was in U.S. Border Patrol custody at the time.

It was unclear if the person in custody was with the two unidentified adults who were hospitalized, according to Hadley.

Customs and Border Patrol was investigating the incident but had not returned a call from City News Service as of late Friday afternoon.

The conditions of the two patients were not released.
