Tracking mild conditions this week and periodic offshore winds
We are tracking another great day here locally! This afternoon has notably more upper-level clouds than yesterday. This upper-level moisture is being pushed south into our area and will clear out later tonight. Highs today are near the average of 72°F, the air is dry, and winds are calm. Tomorrow will see a return to an offshore wind pattern. This will bring some breezy to gusty conditions to parts of the high desert, elevated areas, and local mountain passes. Desert Hot Springs may also feel some of the elevated winds. The offshore pattern remains into Thursday, but will not be weaker than on Wednesday.

Temperature-wise, we continue to gradually fall a bit by bit with each day. Thursday will be the coolest day of the week. A warming trend will take over on Friday. This will take us through the weekend and into next week. Highs will climb into the low 80s next week. This puts us significantly above the seasonal average.

As mentioned, we will continue to gradually cool through Thursday. A warming trend moves in starting Friday. This trend will continue well into next week as highs climb into the lower 80s, significantly above the seasonal average of the low 70s.
