Plenty of sunshine and warmth as the weekend approaches

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) – There's still no end in sight for this warmer than usual weather! Highs are staying well above the seasonal average, even into next week. Thankfully, that means really pleasant conditions, especially if you plan to enjoy a nice Friday night meal this evening.

Some high clouds have begun entering the picture this afternoon. It's still dry closer to the ground, but those wispy clouds way up there should make for some beautiful sunset photos this evening.

Over the next couple of days, we're going to see peak viewing times for the Geminid meteor shower. Joshua Tree National Park is a popular spot to go meteor spotting, and thankfully, the clouds appear to be cooperating with us. Our FutureTrack models show mostly clear skies Friday and Saturday evenings... enjoy the view!

Temperatures tomorrow appear similar to today, likely in the mid 80s for most valley cities.

As high pressure continues to dominate, not much change is expected in our forecast. Temperatures hover in the low to mid 80s through the weekend and into next week, with highs still expected well above average even in a week's time. It's certainly not feeling like winter – even by our standards – but for those who love the sunshine, it doesn't get much better than this!
