Really Comfortable Last Stretch of Summer

Another beautiful, almost fall-like day across the Coachella Valley, with temperatures running just below average and just below the century mark for many spots today and Thursday--possibly even Friday too.

Drier air remains in place with dew points in the 40s and 50s, though we were just a touch muggy mid day. A trough dipping through the West will keep temps cooler than normal through Friday.

We’ll gradually warm things up 2-3 degrees this weekend as the trough moves east into the Great Basin and weak high pressure builds in, although cooler overnight lows will continue to provide some relief from the daytime "heat".

Another weak trough swings through SoCal Monday, briefly knocking temperatures back down a few degrees. By mid next week, highs will be back closer to seasonal averages.
